Meridian Guest House in Stratford-upon-Avon is a late Victorian town house c.1887 providing quality bed and breakfast. Centrally located within a peaceful conservation area including ON SITE PARKING makes Meridian Guest House the perfect setting for Stratford and the Cotswolds.

A short stroll along the nearby Avon canal path or via Shakespeare's Birthplace will bring you into the vibrant town centre with it's shops, bars and restaurants plus the famous Royal Shakespeare theatres.

The Grosvenor Hotel, the Moat House Hotel, Menzies Welcombe Hotel, the Stratford Manor Hotel and Cox's Yard are all close by for events such as conferences, weddings, gigs and parties.

Alternatively, you may prefer an early morning walk on the Welcombe Hills prior to a hearty breakfast whether a full English, vegetarian, vegan or a healthy eating option. Each breakfast is personally prepared using local, home-grown and organic produce whenever possible.

All Meridian rooms have been sympathetically restored by its current owners providing an experience of quality and comfort. Personally run by Johanna Lawrence and paying attention to detail with a desire to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible is the secret of Meridian's popularity. A love of theatre and music can inspire interesting repartee over breakfast thus "The Complete Works of Shakespeare" from April 2006 until April 2007 is bound to promote an exciting year at Meridian.

Accommodation

Room 1:
A spacious, light and airy double en-suite room luxuriously furnished with an authentic "art deco" limed oak bedroom suite. The contemporary bathroom offers style and comfort with it's deep corner bath and shower facility. This large room can accommodate another single bed making it suitable as a twin or family room.

Room 2:
At present a large comfortable room at the front of the house which can sleep up to four persons. The private bathroom has the original large cast iron bath - ideal for a long soak with a good book!

Room 3:
A twin room which overlooks the mature garden, has an en-suite shower facility to complete a self-contained space that provides practicality and comfort.

Room 4:
Previously used as a flat by a number of young aspiring RSC actors such as Nigel Davenport and Helen Mirren in the 1960's Room 4 is now an elegant and sumptuous en-suite bedroom. The extra long (6' 6") antique French bed gives additional comfort for our taller guest.

The bathroom has been finished using high quality fixtures and fittings giving an appearance that is both stylish and functional.

This large room can accommodate another single bed making it suitable as a twin or family room.

Well behaved dogs welcome.
