Tan-y-Fedw, Trefriw, Betws-y-Coed, Snowdonia [pronounced Tan er Ved oo – Beneath the Birches]

Located in the pretty village of Trefriw in the Snowdonia National Park and only 5 miles from the busier village of Betws-y-Coed.
From the cottage, there are numerous walks including the `Trefriw Trails', a range of walks from an all-abilities trail up to more stimulating walks to Llyn Cowlyd and beyond. In the evening, you could stroll along the pathways on the cobs (embankments) over the fields opposite the house.
The cottage is perfect for a romantic break for 2, a family get-a-way, or for a group of 3 friends.

Accommodation

The master bedroom is an admirable size. For a romantic holiday or for parents, enjoy the indulgence offered by a Super King size bed. Alternatively, for friends or family the room can be set up with two single beds. The master bedroom has views over the hills and fields opposite the house.

The second bedroom contains a single bed with views down the Conwy Valley. This room would be ideal for a child or for the third person in a group of friends.

The shower room is a classic black & white design containing a shower suite, WC and basin.
Downstairs, the lounge has a stone fireplace with slate lintel and hearth. There is comfortable seating together with a colour TV and DVD player (we provide a small selection of DVDs but you may wish to bring your own favourites) and a radio / CD player for relaxing evenings

The kitchen is well equipped and contains (hopefully!) everything you need to produce home-cooked meals. There is a 4 ring gas hob and electric oven with canopy extractor hood above, microwave, fridge / freezer and washing machine. The village shops provide high quality local produce. A dining table and chairs for 3 people are provided.

You are on holiday however and there are a number of pubs / restaurants within a short walk of the cottage. Sample menus are provided in the welcome folder so you can choose where to eat in the evening.

Outside, there is a patio garden up a few steps equipped with table and chairs to dine al fresco or to relax with a glass of something whilst contemplating the sheep grazing in the fields opposite. The raised garden is unfenced so is unsuitable for unsupervised children. Bicycles can be stored in the garden shed.
